So we just bought a jet ski and took the kids to the lake for the weekend. Princess A LOVED the jet ski. She didn't care much for the tube we pulled behind it. It was "too bumpy." We spent Saturday and Sunday at our boat house on the lake. Tiny Tot did great. We set up a fence around the perimeter of the dock so she wouldn't fall into the water and she played fine all day. We let her "swim" with her life jacket on from the boat. She really took to floating on her back well. She just laid back and kicked her little feet until she got so relaxed that she almost fell asleep. I'm so glad our girls are growing up water babies.
We've enjoyed the pool at home this week, too. It has been just warm enough to take an evening dip in the pool once Daddy comes home from work. Princess A is jumping off the diving board and swimming all over the pool. She has gotten tall enough to tip-toe around the shallow end. She thinks this is fun. It's nice that they are both so comfortable in the water. It gives me a chance to swim about and enjoy the pool. That was not the case last summer. I had to sit on the side and watch everyone else play while I held Tiny Tot. She was just too little for the water then.
